Independence Day Express Train

Celebrate America’s birthday riding the Independence Day Express where you can enjoy the afternoon festivities in Silverton and stay for one of the largest fireworks display on the Western Slope! After the fireworks are over, relax and enjoy a rare late-night trip by train back to Durango! This train package includes live music and a barbeque under the tent next to the Silverton Depot.

There will be a 40x40 event tent set up near the Silverton Depot with seating for 250 guests inside and outside the tent area. The price of the ticket includes live music from 4:30-9:30PM under the tent and a BBQ dinner by CJ’s Catering from 5pm-7:00pm. On the menu is BBQ Sliced Brisket, Traditional Potato Salad, All-American Applesauce, Homemade Biscuits, Lemonade and bottled water. Three Porta-johns and a hand washing station will be located near the tent.  Each guest will receive a wristband to identify them as a train guest to give them access to the above amenities. Ride the train to Silverton for a day of festivities and return to Durango after the fireworks. Fare includes BBQ and live music under the tent by the Silverton Depot.

If you would like to bring lawn chairs, please label them and we will transport them to and from Silverton in our box car for you.

SCHEDULE:

Depart Durango: 10:30 a.m.
Arrive Silverton: 1:45 p.m.
Depart Silverton: 10:00 p.m.
Arrive Durango: 1:15 a.m. on July 5th
