Start your Winter Adventure with a ride aboard the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad steam train. Journey along the Animas River, on your way to a backcountry winter wonderland, in the comfort of a heated vintage coach.  You will arrive at Cascade  Canyon, your destination in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, just in time to enjoy a lunch by the fire in the outdoor pavilion or along the banks of the Animas River. Make sure you take time for some pictures as the 45- minute lunch stop will fly by as you enjoy the crisp, fresh mountain air. Shortly after taking your final pictures of the famous highline, over 250 feet above the Animas River, you will depart the train at the Rockwood Station. You will be met there by Outlaw Tours to begin a snowmobiling experience you've only dreamed about. Ride single or double on a 2-hour tour along packed and powder trails that will highlight Colorado landscapes and remain in your memory forever. At the conclusion of your trip, Outlaw will deliver your party back to the D&SNGR depot in time to share highlights of your wonderful day over dinner at one of Durango's great restaurants.
