Enjoy part of your Silverton journey onboard a modern D&SNGRR bus as you travel along US Highway 550. Trips to and from Silverton cover 52 miles of the scenic San Juan Byway. This option offers you a different perspective of the majestic mountains.

We know your time is valuable. Depending on whether you’d like to condense your round trip D&SNGRR experience to have more time to enjoy Durango’s other great activities or to just wind down and relax, or whether you’d rather spend more time exploring the historic town of Silverton and the surrounding area, we have designed a schedule for you.

Important to note: Due to the high elevation on the passes, there may be travel restrictions on commercial vehicles during the Spring and Autumn months. If there is a weather advisory, we reserve the right to cancel our busses. Alternate options will include riding the train round trip on the same date or riding the bus on another date.

Match a train schedule to or from Silverton to a bus schedule to or from Durango. Allow 3 1/2 hours each way on the train and 1 1/2 hours each way on the bus.
